Citizen Review Request

We appreciate your feedback.

Library staff will review your request, research the item/service in question, and respond within 21 business days. If further communication is required, library staff will direct you according to our Citizen Review Request Policy.

Three Foundational Legal Requirements:

Review requests are available to Douglas County, Colorado Residents alone.
The library may only review a title or issue once in any two-year period.
The library may not review any person or group's use of library civic spaces.

The library's Citizen Review Request Policy gives customers the opportunity to voice opinions, ask for changes, and request redress of grievances about library decisions. The process affords higher levels of management review. Reviews focus on three questions relevant to your inquiry or request for change:

Does our library's practice align with competent professional standards?
Does our practice align with library board policy?
Does our library's practice comply with state and federal law—especially Colorado statutes around library practice.
