Park & Pick-Up Holds
Use our curbside service to pick up holds at your preferred DCL location*following these instructions. Book Club Express kits may also be picked up using this service.
*Not available at Louviers.
Text Alerts
Text the word "signup" to 844-213-8348 to get account information via text. We’ll let you know when your holds are available for pickup, and when items are due or overdue. Standard texting rates apply.
Homebound Delivery
Qualified cardholders can have library materials delivered right to their doors if they are unable to come to the library due to illness or disability.
Ageless Adults
Find an array of programs and opportunities for adults of all ages through our Ageless suite of services, including materials delivery for residents in participating communities.
Borrowing & Fees
Most materials check out for three weeks. Magazines and DVDs under 200 minutes check out for one week, and each customer may have up to 200 physical items checked out at any one time. Fees are assessed for lost items or special requests.
Print on the library's public printers during library hours regardless of device, network or location. Large documents and PDFs may take a few minutes to print.

Use the Princh website to adjust your print settings. Pick up at the library print release station.
Black & white: 10 cents per page; 20 cents per double-sided page
Color: 25 cents per page; no double-sided color printing
Copy: Letter & Legal Size
Black & white: 10 cents per page; 20 cents per double-sided page
Color: 25 cents per page; 50 cents per double-sided page
Copy: 11-inch by 17-inch
Black & white: 20 cents per page; 40 cents per double-sided page
Color: 50 cents per page; $1 per double-sided page
Please be advised that any print job not picked up at the print release station within two hours of being sent will be deleted. See a DCL staff member to pay with your Visa or MasterCard ($1 minimum).
Donate Books & More
Douglas County Libraries accepts donations of new and used books, music CDs and DVDs for ongoing and special book sales, or for further donation to organizations that distribute materials to underserved populations. Book sales benefit the Douglas County Libraries Foundation.
Book donations of up to two boxes are accepted during regular business hours at all locations, excluding Louvers. If your donation fills more than two boxes, please contact us to schedule a donation.
Please do not donate:
Items in poor condition
Textbooks older than five years
Encyclopedias
Magazines
VHS or music cassette tapes
Computer books older than five years
Dated receipts are available upon request; we are not able to quote a value for donated items.
