Reading Buddies
Reading Buddies is a reading enrichment program for children in grades 1-3, pairing a trained teen Big Buddy with a struggling young reader.

Little Buddies
Applications for Little Buddies are accepted until all positions are filled.
- Reading Buddies is not a tutoring service. Please attend all scheduled meetings.
- You will need a Douglas County Libraries library card. Get a card if you don’t already have one.
- Upon acceptance to the Reading Buddies program, your Little Buddy will be paired with a Big Buddy, a teen library volunteer who is trained to read with kids in a way that helps encourage a love of reading.
- Space is limited and your participation in the program is not guaranteed until all applications have been reviewed and we have been able to match your child with a Teen Big Buddy volunteer.
